A new version of the log sheet has been posted. It corrects an error in the column totals at the top of the points columns (A,B,C,D). The running total field was unaffected by the error.
To use the new log, just copy your data from the old log sheet, NOT the "Auto Total for each contact" fields, and paste into the new sheet. -- Fran, W1FJM W1FJM@...

New User, D-Star Registration Issue
Hi Folks,
I registered (I think) through the W1AAD Gateway page over a week ago and have heard nothing back. When I try to log in it says: The registration of this CallSign not approved ! I am wondering if I messed something up with the registration or if I just need to be more patient. I'm running an IC-705 and would like to be able to use the terminal mode features, as well as use more conventional features like directly accessing a repeater. The Gateway is not functioning at the site. Looks like a potential hardware failure. The repeater itself is working. No ETA for resolution

That is the exact reason especially if the trustee owns several D-STAR repeaters like we do. We shell out enough for all the equipment and maintenance. Another additional cost is unacceptable. Regarding using the trustees call, well that isn't allowed in the D-STAR US Trust system and.tomy knowledge, you cannot have the same call on more than one gateway. Remember hotspots, with an individual's call, can't be registered to the US Trust We need to fight this proposal IMPORTANT:

I understand why a trustee would not use his own callsign for his D-STAR repeater... it might be a worthy test to see if I used my personal call and as long as I did not duplicate a SSID, why wouldn’t it work? We do it on hotspots all the time.

FCC fees proposal
If this proposal passes I fear many of the repeaters, especially those that have it own unique calllsign, like D-STAR, may go away. Spread the word to your friends encouraging them to write in.
