The N1GAU network is having issues which are causing the gateway to get stuck in the LINKING state. In order to get it linked back to ref069 C, you need to issue an UNLINK command, then link it somewhere else, do another UNLINK command and then link it to ref069 C. I am trying to stay on top of it but I can't watch is all the time, I don't know when this will be fixed. It requires a trip to the site. -- Fran, W1FJM

May 4th meet &. Greet postponed

The Meet n Greet that was scheduled for Saturday May 4 2019 is being postponed.
Lack of interest. Response has been very low this time with less than half of the normal number of hams indicating their attendance.
The weekend also is the annual NEQP.
In addition, as hams we need to place the hobby in perspective within-our lives that family always comes first.
Time with family is vital.
It will be postponed until the Autumn season.

Jess, ND1L, asked me to inform the group that W1NLK can also be linked to other reflectors. However, at this time it CANNOT, be linked to the new XLX reflectors
It should automatically revert back to REF069 C after 30 minutes of local RF activity.

It appears that some users are unclear as to what repeaters can be linked to other reflectors. Here is a list of what have the capability to be linked elsewhere.
AA1HD module B(440) only KB1UHS KD1STR N1GAU W1ECV W1HDN (Rhode Island)
W1KK, which we don't own, and AA1HD cannot be moved from REF069 C
Also, we have changed the settings. You DO NOT need to link the repeater back to REF069 C when you are done and SHOULD NOT do it.
This has been automated so that when the repeater doesn't hear and local RF signal for longer that 5 minutes it will revert back to REF069 C by itself.

With the new software configuration comes the ability to link the gateway to reflectors other that REF069 C. Just like our other repeaters you can link to other reflectors, but we ask that you link it back to REF069 C when you are done.
It is our preference that ALL our repeaters stay linked to REF069 C more often than not. If we find this is NOT the case, we will probably turn the feature off. Always unlink from one reflector before linking to another Please refer to the WIKI page(upper right) for the DTMF commands Available. You can also program your memories or use DR mode(if your radio has it) to perform the linking/unlinking -- Fran, W1FJM
